Microsoft Word - AutoText
Word’s AutoText is stored text or graphics that are immediately available to insert into a document. Your home or business address or a corporate logo might be an example of useful AutoText.
Creating an AutoText item:
- Type the text or insert the graphic into a document.
- Select the text or graphic.
- From the menu bar, select Insert -> AutoText -> New
- Accept the proposed name or replace it with something more appropriate.
Inserting AutoText:
- Place the mouse cursor in the document where you want to insert the AutoText.
- From the menu bar, select Insert -> AutoText -> AutoText.
- The AutoCorrect dialog window opens. Make certain you are on the AutoText tab.
- Select the item you want to insert from the list.
- Click on the Insert button.
