Gmail – Colored labels

Gmail seems to get better and better. Google keeps improving their flagship Google Application. They recently added the ability to add colors to your labels making it even easier to navigate within the Gmail web client.

Gmail uses labels as an alternative to folders. Labels lets you apply multiple tags to an email, whereas folders limits you to a single location.

To use the colored label feature:

1. Expand the Labels menu item on the left side of the Gmail webpage.
2. Select the label you want to color.
3. Then select a color from the dropdown control on the right-side of the label.

Now all the emails with that label will display the label in that color.
