Firefox 3 and the best addons

Firefox 3 is a better browser than Internet Explorer, Opera or Safari. It works with Windows, Mac and Linux. If you have not installed it do so. It can be downloaded at http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/.

Make it your default browser.

Firefox is the best of these browsers because there are thousands of free addons and themes that let you customize it to make it your browser.

If you are new to Firefox it may seem impossible to figure out which extensions to add to enhance the way you work. Here are my top three suggestions:

• Adblock Plus – Seamlessly remove annoying ads and banners that often take longer to download than everything else on the page?
  
  
• Adblock Filterset.G Updater – A companion to Adblock. It automatically updates the ad filters on a periodic basis to keep you ahead of the advertisers.
  
  
• IE Tab – Run an Internet Explorer window within Firefox for those poorly designed sites that require IE, like Microsoft Windows Update. (Windows only.)
